The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is expected to release the Licensure Examination for Real Estate Consultants January 2024 results, held on January 8-12, 2024, which includes the list of passers, topnotchers, and performance of schools on January 16, 2024.
Initial Registration for Real Estate Consultants
The registration for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be announced later. PRC has advised the examinees to complete the following requirements and follow the steps in the initial registration. Therefore, successful examinees will be included in the Rooster of Registered Professionals.
- Notice of Admission/NOA (for identification purposes only)
- Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal.
- Two (2) pieces of passport-sized ID photos on a white background with the complete name tag.
- Two (2) sets of documentary stamps.
- One (1) piece short brown envelope.
Verification of Rating
The PRC has already conducted face-to-face oath-taking for new professionals. Successful examinees shall register no later than 12:00 noon before the date of the oath-taking at http://online.prc.gov.ph to confirm their attendance. It will be announced the exact date of face-to-face or virtual oath-taking later. Furthermore, the inductees are required to bring either the vaccination card or the negative PT-PCR results taken within 48 hours prior to the schedule of oath-taking. Don’t forget to confirm the attendance, whether virtual or face-to-face, in the regions where it took their licensure examination.
Licensure Examination for Real Estate Consultants Coverage:
The coverage of the examination for the written examination encompasses various aspects related to the fundamentals of real estate consulting. The examination delves into the fundamentals of consulting, emphasizing standards and ethics, including the Uniform Standard of Professional Realty Consultant Practice (USPRCP) and the National Code of Ethics and Responsibilities. Real estate finance and economics constitute a significant portion of the examination content.
Additionally, candidates are expected to demonstrate their knowledge of the land management system and real property laws, encompassing legal frameworks such as P.D 957, B.P. 220, Family Code, Civil Code, Commercial Laws, National Internal Revenue Code, and RESA 9646/1RR. Specific laws pertaining to Condominiums, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT), Time Sharing, and Cooperatives are also included in this section.
The examination further covers topics related to professional consultancy practice, requiring candidates to showcase their proficiency in consulting tools and techniques, including project feasibility studies and investment measurement tools. Real estate consulting and investment analysis, as well as consulting for specific engagements such as residential, commercial, industrial, recreation, resort, and hotel properties, are integral components of the examination.
Specialized areas like consulting for distressed properties, leasing and buying analysis of properties, business communication/technical writing, environmental impact assessment (EIA) study, and an understanding of current events are also part of the examination syllabus. Moreover, candidates are expected to engage with case studies that test their practical application of the knowledge acquired in the aforementioned areas.
