The List of Requirements for Fisheries Professionals includes a PSA Birth Certificate and, for married female applicants, a PSA Marriage Contract. Applicants must also submit a Transcript of Records (TOR) with a scanned picture and the remark “For Board Examination Purposes,” applicable to both first-time takers and repeaters.

Applicants are required to submit two Certificates of Good Moral Character, which may be obtained from any of the following: the barangay, church, school, or employer.

For educational qualifications, an applicant must have a Bachelor of Science degree in any field of Fisheries and must have passed the subjects in the curriculum covering Aquaculture, Capture Fisheries, Post-harvest Fisheries, and Aquatic Resources and Ecology.

For applicants with courses other than a BS in Fisheries, such as MS in Aquaculture, MS in Fisheries, Master of Aquaculture, or Master of Fisheries, the document indicates FTB as the applicable requirement or notation.

The examination fee is ₱900.00 for complete applicants and ₱450.00 for conditioned or removal examinees.

Coverage of the Exam (Room Assignments: Fisheries Professionals Licensure Examination FPLE October 2026)

The Fisheries Professional Licensure Examination (FPLE) covers four major subject areas: Aquaculture, Capture Fisheries, Aquatic Resources and Ecology, and Post-Harvest Fisheries. Each subject carries an equal weight of 25%, for a total of 100%.

Aquaculture covers 25% of the examination and is scheduled on October 1, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Capture Fisheries, also worth 25%, follows on the same day from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
